Abattoir Welfare Assessment - 2 days

In order to provide practical experience and significant improvements in welfare and quality during primary processing AWT has authored the White Meat Abattoir Welfare Assessment course ( WMAWA ).  Single or multiple species courses are available subject to discussion with AWT.  This 2 day course focusses on inspection and assessment techniques relating to key welfare and quality issues.  The practical component of the course within a commercial abattoir requires delegates to utilise experience and knowledge to improve observational and assessment skills as well as objectively and subjectively report on both welfare ante-mortem and quality post-mortem.

Abattoir Welfare Assessment - 2 days
